Our 4D3N Cebu - Bantayan Island Itinerary

Last June 4, we went to Cebu without planning the things we are going to do in there, but we were still able to do something out of nothing which I would like to share with you.

Our flights are booked separately, which is the reason why our flight schedules are divided into three batches. I was on the second batch of flight to arrive at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, and there's still a plenty of time before the arrival time of the next and last batch of my friends, so we decided to roam around the city of Cebu while waiting for them.

Going to Paradise Beach, we were able to pass by Kandugyap House by the Sea, one of the shooting locations of the movie "Camp Sawi" which was filmed in Bantayan Island. However, we were not able to enter their premises as only guests are allowed to enter.

DAY 3  (June 6, 2018)
07:00  Breakfast in resort
09:00  Island hopping
14:30  Lunch at Big Jel's, dessert
16:30  Roadtrip to Madridejos
17:45  Kota Park, Bontay Baywalk
20:30  Karaoke at Ato ni Bai, Sta. Fe
21:00  Dinner at Big Jel's

There were quite a number of people offering island hopping activities near the area of MJ Square, where most of the visitors of the island go to eat. Some tricycle drivers are also offering island hopping activities as their sideline. You may avail your island hopping activities in there just like what we did.

Madridejos is the northmost municipality of the Bantayan Island. Sta. Fe, on the other hand, is situated on the southmost part of the island, and is where most of the visitors of the island reside, including us. The island is quite small, so we decided to travel, and have a roadtrip using our rented motorcycles around the whole island. Going to the Municipality of Madridejos, we were able to pass by the locations of skydiving and kitesurfing in the island, and also the St. Peter and Paul Parish, but we decided not to take a stopover as we are heading to the other end of the island.

We were supposed to try the Blue Lobster Resto Bar in Madridejos, which was very near to Kota Park, as it is one of the famous food place in Bantayan Island. However, since we need to go back to the other end of the island, and its already at night time, we agreed to just try their delicious foods (based on reviews on the internet) next time when we go back to Bantayan Island, because we will surely go back!

DAY 4  (June 7, 2018)
05:30  Wake up call, breakfast in resort, pack up
07:30  Rushed to port
08:45  Travel to Cebu City
14:00  Susan's Pasalubong Center
15:00  Zubuchon Marina Mall
16:00  Arrival at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (Going back to Manila)

We were supposed to go to Taboan Market to buy pasalubong. However, due to lack of time before our flight, the driver of our private van suggested to try Susan's Pasalubong Center. Susan's Pasalubong Center has a wide variety of pasalubong items from Cebu. From dried seafoods, to dried mangoes, to Otap and more, they have it all, their products are actually quite complete with fair prices, plus their location is on the way to airport, so you guys might want to check this place out when searching pasalubong in Cebu.

I think, this itinerary, which was what we have done in Cebu-Bantayan Island is quite less adventurous in terms of activities. This is because we intend to relax when we went to Bantayan Island. Bantayan Island has a lot more to offer which we haven't done such as skydiving, kitesurfing, and diving, it is also quite close to Kalanggaman Island, which is famous because of its sand bar, and Malapascua Island, which is famous because of the Tresher Shark sightings for divers. You may add these activities to your itinerary when you go to Bantayan Island. We might also create a suggested itinerary with these activities soon, so stay tuned!
